Online English lessons for ages 6 to 8
A first English lesson should give your child room to listen, join in and try a few words. I’m Aya. I use games, conversation and activities, adapting the pace to the child in front of me.
Start with something your child can see or do
A familiar object makes a useful starting point: a blue pencil, a favourite toy or a picture of an animal. Your child can point first, choose between two words, or say a short phrase when they are ready.
These are examples of ways to practise, not a fixed programme. A six-year-old who hears English every day may need something quite different from an eight-year-old beginner. I choose the level after getting to know your child.
Try this at home: a color hunt
- Put three colored objects on the table. Say one color and let your child point to it.
- Swap roles. Your child can say a color while you look for the object.
- If a single word feels easy, offer “It is blue.” Stop while the game is still enjoyable.
Stay nearby for the first online meeting if your child needs help with the screen or microphone. You do not need to answer for them. A little thinking time is useful.
Which lesson format fits?
Standard lessons last one hour on Google Meet. Private lessons cost €80 for 8 hours. A group package costs €35 for 8 hours, with 3 to 5 children. These are not subscriptions: the eight hours are scheduled according to availability.
Questions before you book
Does my child need to read English already?
No fixed reading level is required. Tell me what your child can understand or say, and I will adapt the activities.
What if an hour feels long?
The free introduction lasts 30 minutes. Standard lessons last one hour. We can use the introduction to discuss whether this format suits your child.
Is this only for beginners?
No. Age helps you find a starting point, but I adapt lessons to your child’s current English and needs.
