1. Who is responsible for the information?
BrightKidsOnline is responsible for the personal information submitted through this website. This notice covers information about parents or guardians and the limited details an adult provides about a child.
2. What information does BrightKidsOnline collect?
When you send a message
BrightKidsOnline receives the parent or guardian’s name, email address, optional WhatsApp number, preferred reply method, subject and message.
When you request a class
BrightKidsOnline receives the parent or guardian’s name, email address, WhatsApp number when supplied, preferred contact method, the child’s first name and age, optional learning notes, chosen language, session and class format, requested date and time, payment preference, booking reference and booking status.
The website records only whether you prefer bank transfer or PayPal. It does not ask for a bank account number, card details, PayPal password or other payment credentials.
Messages and bookings are kept securely. Necessary details may also be included in notifications sent to BrightKidsOnline and in booking emails sent to the parent or guardian.
Basic technical and security information
Routine technical information may be processed when needed to display pages, protect forms and resolve a problem. This can include the network address, date and time, requested page, response status and browser information. Temporary security checks may also be used to limit repeated submissions. This information is not used for advertising or profiling.
3. Information about children
These forms are for a parent or guardian, not for a child to complete alone. BrightKidsOnline asks only for the child’s first name, age and optional notes that help us understand the requested lesson. Please do not include medical information, identification documents, a home address, school details, passwords or anything that is not needed to discuss the class.
4. Why does BrightKidsOnline use the information?
BrightKidsOnline uses it to answer enquiries, check availability, reserve and manage class times, send booking updates and Google Meet details, discuss the child’s learning needs, provide payment instructions, keep the booking secure and maintain records that are reasonably needed for lessons, payments or legal obligations.
Where a law requires a legal basis, the basis may be the steps you ask BrightKidsOnline to take before arranging a class, providing the class, your choice or consent for a contact channel such as WhatsApp, legitimate interests in running and securing the service, or a legal obligation. BrightKidsOnline does not make automated decisions about families and does not use these details for profiling.
5. Who may receive information?
BrightKidsOnline limits access to what is genuinely needed to run the service and provide the option you choose. This can include:
- trusted providers involved in securely storing information and delivering messages;
- WhatsApp, if you choose WhatsApp or contact BrightKidsOnline through it;
- Google, when Google Meet is used for a lesson;
- Instagram, if you choose to visit or message the BrightKidsOnline account;
- PayPal, only if you later choose to make a payment through PayPal;
- a bank or payment provider when a bank transfer is made;
- professional advisers or public authorities when disclosure is genuinely required by law.
Your form answers are not automatically shared with WhatsApp, Instagram, Google or PayPal. Information reaches one of these services only when you or BrightKidsOnline use it for the contact, lesson or payment option concerned. These providers and banks control how they process information in their own services, and their privacy notices apply. Choosing one of these services may involve processing in another country.
6. Cookies and analytics
The public website does not currently use advertising pixels or audience analytics. Strictly necessary cookies or similar storage may be used only for security or a feature you request. If optional analytics or marketing is introduced later, this notice and any required consent choices will be updated first.
7. How long is information kept?
Contact and booking records are kept only while they are needed to answer you, manage lessons and payments, resolve a problem, protect the service or meet a legal or accounting requirement. Security and recovery copies may follow separate deletion cycles. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised when reasonably possible. A request to delete information may be limited where a record must be kept by law or is needed to establish or defend a legal claim.
8. How is information protected?
Access to personal information is restricted and reasonable safeguards are used to protect forms, messages and booking access. No online service is completely risk-free, so please avoid sending unnecessary or sensitive details.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask whether BrightKidsOnline holds information about you or your child, request a copy, correct inaccurate details, object to certain uses, withdraw consent where consent is the basis, or ask for restriction or deletion. Some rights have legal exceptions.
Morocco’s Law 09-08 provides rights including access, correction and objection. If the GDPR applies to you, additional rights may include erasure, restriction and data portability. You may also contact the Moroccan CNDP or the data protection authority in your country.
10. Contact and updates
To ask a privacy question or exercise a right, email contact@brightkidsonline.com or use the Contact page and write “Privacy” in the subject. BrightKidsOnline may ask for enough information to confirm that the request comes from the parent or guardian concerned.
BrightKidsOnline will update this page if the information collected or the way it is handled changes. The date at the top will show the latest revision.
