Online English lessons for ages 8 to 10
Knowing a word and using it in a conversation are different steps. I help your child take part in English through games, questions and activities that match their level and interests.
Give familiar words a job to do
Your child may remember animal names but pause when asked a simple question. We can start with a choice, a picture or a sentence beginning instead of asking them to speak with no support.
For example, “I like cats” can become “I like cats because they are funny.” That is one possible activity, not an expectation for every eight-year-old. Some children need the first phrase; others are ready to ask their own questions.
Try this at home: guess my animal
- Each choose an animal without showing the other person.
- Take turns asking a question such as “Can it swim?” or “Is it big?” Use a word list if needed.
- After the guess, swap roles. Accept a short answer before inviting a longer one.
If school English feels difficult, bring one clear example to the introduction: a question your child avoids, a word they forget or a task they find confusing. It gives us a useful place to start.
Which lesson format fits?
Standard lessons last one hour on Google Meet. Private lessons cost €80 for 8 hours. A group package costs €35 for 8 hours, with 3 to 5 children. These are not subscriptions: the eight hours are scheduled according to availability.
Questions before you book
Can lessons support what my child learns at school?
Tell me which parts are difficult and share an example. I adapt the level and activities to the child’s needs; I do not promise a particular school result.
Do children only learn vocabulary?
No. Conversation, games, activities and cultural learning give children ways to use language, rather than only memorise words.
Private lessons or a group?
Private lessons are for one child. Group lessons have 3 to 5 children. The introduction is a chance to discuss which format fits your child.
