one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten
An activity to start here
Count each row of dots and choose its number word. Fill the gaps in the sequence, then count a few pencils or blocks together. Ask “How many?”
Make it easier or take it further
Use fewer objects if needed. Touch one object for each number word so counting has a clear meaning. There is no timer.
See answers and examples
Dot rows, from top to bottom: four, two, seven, five, nine. Missing words: three, five; seven, nine. The last activity depends on the objects chosen.
